Player FAQ — Your Questions About Competing on Rivals

Got questions about competing on Rivals? Here are the answers. If you don't find what you're looking for, contact us and we'll get back to you.

Getting Started

Go to rivalsapp.com and sign up. You’ll need to link your Steam account to verify your game identity. The whole process takes under five minutes.

Finding and Entering Tournaments

Browse active and upcoming tournaments on rivalsapp.com or through the Rivals Discord bot in your server. Filter by game, region, entry fee, format, and prize pool to find the right match.

Entry Fees and Prize Pools

Entry fees are collected into secured escrow the moment the tournament opens for registration. Once locked, neither the organizer nor Rivals can modify the prize pool. After results are verified, winners receive their share automatically.

Payouts and Withdrawals

Payouts are processed after Rivals verifies the final results. Timing can vary depending on your region and payout method — check your tournament listing for specifics.

Fair Play and Disputes

For Dota 2, results are verified automatically using game data. Rivals checks the outcome directly — organizers cannot override or edit a verified result.

Discord

Yes. The Rivals Discord bot lets you find tournaments, receive match notifications, and manage your registration without leaving your server. Ask your server’s organizer to add it, or learn more about the bot on the Discord bot page.

The Bottom Line

Rivals is built so that every dollar in the prize pool goes where it should — to the players who won it. Entry fees are secured in escrow, results are verified automatically, and payouts happen without you having to chase anyone. If something goes wrong, Rivals handles it.
