PUBG Mobile Sensitivity Guide: Camera, ADS & Gyroscope

Optimize your PUBG Mobile sensitivity settings for Patch 3.2. Covers camera sensitivity for TPP and FPP, ADS sensitivity for every scope (2x through 8x), and gyroscope tuning for recoil control.

Camera Sensitivity

Camera sensitivity controls how fast your view moves when you swipe the screen without aiming down sights. This affects your ability to look around, spot enemies, and snap to targets in close-range fights.

TPP (Third-Person Perspective)

  • TPP Camera — Start at 150-200% and adjust based on your device and finger speed. Higher sensitivity lets you spin faster to react to enemies behind you, which is critical in TPP where third-person peeking is common.
  • TPP No Scope — Set to 100-120%. This controls your hip-fire camera movement. Too high and you overshoot targets in close range.
  • Free Look — Set to 80-100%. You want smooth, controlled free-look to scan your surroundings without overshooting while running.

FPP (First-Person Perspective)

  • FPP Camera — Set slightly lower than TPP, around 120-160%. FPP fights are more about precision since you cannot third-person peek.
  • FPP No Scope — Set to 90-110%. Hip-fire in FPP requires tighter control since your field of view is narrower.
  • General Rule — If you are overshooting targets consistently, lower your sensitivity by 10-15%. If you cannot turn fast enough to react to flanks, raise it by the same amount.

Change one setting at a time and play 5-10 TDM matches before adjusting again. Changing multiple settings simultaneously makes it impossible to know which change helped or hurt.

ADS Sensitivity

ADS (Aim Down Sight) sensitivity controls how your crosshair moves when scoped in. Each scope magnification should have a different sensitivity — higher magnification scopes need lower sensitivity for precise aiming.

Recommended ADS Settings

  1. 1.Red Dot / Holographic (1x) — 50-70%. This is your primary close-to-mid range optic. Needs to be fast enough for tracking sprays but controlled enough for burst fire.
  2. 2.2x Scope — 35-55%. Used on ARs and SMGs for mid-range fights. Slightly lower than red dot since the magnification makes small movements more noticeable.
  3. 3.3x Scope — 25-40%. The versatile mid-range scope. Many pros run 30% here. Should feel smooth when tracking a running target at 50-100 meters.
  4. 4.4x Scope — 18-30%. Standard for ARs and DMRs at medium-long range. Needs to be low enough for spray control at range but responsive enough to follow moving targets.
  5. 5.6x Scope — 12-20%. Used primarily on DMRs and snipers. Low sensitivity for precision shots. You should be able to make micro-adjustments without overshooting.
  6. 6.8x Scope — 8-14%. Sniper-only scope. Very low sensitivity. At this magnification, tiny movements translate to large crosshair jumps. Most players run 10-12%.

The pattern is clear: as scope magnification increases, sensitivity should decrease proportionally. A good rule of thumb is to reduce sensitivity by 30-40% for each magnification step up.

Gyroscope Settings

The gyroscope uses your device's motion sensor to control recoil by tilting your phone. When configured correctly, it dramatically improves spray control — especially at mid-to-long range with 3x and 4x scopes.

Getting Started with Gyroscope

  1. 1.Set Gyroscope to "Scope On" (not "Always On"). This activates gyroscope only when you are aiming down sights, keeping your normal camera movement touch-only.
  2. 2.Start with all gyro sensitivities at 300% and adjust from there. 300% is a good baseline that most players find comfortable.
  3. 3.Practice in Training Ground first. Spray an M416 with a 4x scope at a wall 50 meters away. Tilt your phone downward slightly as you spray to counteract the vertical recoil.
  4. 4.If the gyroscope overcompensates (your crosshair goes below the target), lower the sensitivity. If the recoil is still pulling up, raise it.

Recommended Gyroscope Sensitivity

  • Red Dot / Holographic — 300-400%. Higher gyro at close range helps with quick flick adjustments during spray fights.
  • 2x Scope — 280-350%. Slightly lower than red dot for smoother tracking.
  • 3x Scope — 250-320%. The 3x is where gyroscope becomes most valuable. Master this setting first.
  • 4x Scope — 220-290%. The 4x spray is the bread and butter of PUBG Mobile. Spend the most practice time tuning this setting.
  • 6x Scope — 180-250%. Primarily for DMR tapping, not spraying. Gyro helps with micro-adjustments between shots.
  • 8x Scope — 150-200%. Minimal gyro at maximum zoom. Used only for fine-tuning bolt-action sniper shots.

Gyroscope mastery takes 2-4 weeks of consistent practice. Play 5-10 TDM matches daily with gyro enabled. You will feel worse before you feel better — this is normal. After the adjustment period, your spray control will be noticeably superior to touch-only players.
